Things Change

I came across some photos of an exhibition of my work back in California and remembered how little space (it was a shared space) I had to Paint. sylvia.png Every closet I have where I live now is larger then the studio space I once had. I recall setting up a still life on the windowsill, I was one of the lucky ones, I had a window. I would look forward to going to my space at night, hoping to catch a little of the sun. Once the sun went down, I would turn on the fluorescents, play some music and be happy. A lot has changed since those days, I have my own studio, I paint almost everyday, listen to music and be happy.capanda.png

This is one of the old paintings. My daughter was off to college and I would raid her room and find toys that could fit on the windowsill or the small cabinet that was to the right my easel and paint them.

It was a Wonderful Event

shemershow1 First thank to all of you who came to the opening that I didn’t get the opportunity to thank you personally.

There were lots of people, tons of handshakes, and paintings being sold. A Recipe for a great time. shemershow2
