Learning how to paint out doors-“Out Doors”

with one comment

I am determined to understand the magic of painting outdoors. This is as close as I have gotten ever, but it still looks like I painted it in my studio.Outdoor I confess, that I started it outside but had to continue working in the studio. I am uncomfortable with having nature dictate how quickly I need to paint. ( I must think I'm special).

  1. Weather is part of the magic of painting outdoors. You work for hours or days on a picture, and then some weather pattern comes in and you quickly change the painting to record it and then you are done. All the time standing outdoors in front of the easel prepares you for the “magic” of light or darkness when it arrives.
