Ways to Improve

with 2 comments

In recent months I’ve discovered artist and painters that have given me a new way of thinking about my own work. One sure way to improve is to look at what other people are doing.

  1. I like a lot Bob! This portrait painting has a lot of character, not only from your style and technique but it irradiates personality. Her face is very expressive and accomplished. I can see you are talented and mature.
I am again a student, doing a Fine Art degree now, and I feel that we students we learn a lot from each other from the most basic to painting technique skills.

  2. Thanks Angela. I agree its great to be around a group of artist, everyone learning from each other, especially when the atmosphere is free of competition. I consider myself a student (forever) as well. When I lived in New York, I would attended open studio at the ASL. I recognized a number of professional painters/artist and Instructor in the class. We all just worked together. No head trips. We have a similar situation here in Scottsdale, with Scottsdale Artist School.
