with 4 comments

I am interested in who and why artist teach representational painting? What are your feelings about the types of student you attract? Do you teach privately or in a school or both? Do feel that your student achieve success in taking your classes/workshops? What if anything would you want to improve on with regards how students learn, how classes are configured? I want to learn everything that you are willing to tell.

Overnight Success

with 6 comments

Most artist love to create art, period. And most are not overnight success. It takes a long time and money to get to the point where you have something consistently to say in your work and an audience who wants to see/pay for what you have to say. Being creative is not an easy task.

A concern for a couple of artist that I know is that they at times feel stuck creating the same work over and over again because they have bills to pay and this is the stuff that sells. They are concerned about their health (We don’t always work in the best condition) and securing health insurance at a reasonable cost. I know this may be the same concerns that most people have but I have a soft spot for artist of all kind.
